BORN FOR THIS

"We were born into this generation, 'for such a time as this!'”

These are, undoubtedly, most unusual days. As the darkness becomes more emboldened, and the church grows increasingly worldly, it’s easy to be overwhelmed, and feel helpless. The child of God, whether walking two thousand years ago in the footsteps of Paul or stepping into a “church-house” thumping with rhythmic music and a cloud of fog, was born and equipped for a day, such as today!

Is it any surprise, over the past few decades, that charlatans have infiltrated pulpits and lecture halls alike, perverting the Word of God? False teachers, convincing young disciples that the power welded in the early church, was only for a dispensation, promoting heresy, and disillusionment to earnest seekers.

The enemy knew long ago to prepare for such a battle, as he will surely face, and that he would need to find a way to hamstring his, far-superior opponent, The Church! And “hamstring” her he has, through lies, half-truths, and most effectively, distraction! While he uses every spiritual deceit and dark maneuver imaginable, the fierce, Christ-sanctioned army of God, lies shamelessly under every tree, making idolatrous love to every conceivable form of entertainment and luxury, often shrouded in a sensual veil of antichrist religion, parading as Christianity. Those who would take umbrage with such observations, would be invited to offer a better, more biblical excuse for the miserable defeat she suffers in society today. The Church of Jesus Christ, helplessly surrounded by addiction, perversion, and unsurpassed violence; while hosting Super bowl parties, and Halloween Trunk or Treats – in their buildings! “Bring them in, bring them into the sanctuary,” they cry, yet they dare not visit or touch the dirty, smelly heathen in their own home. Paul said, of those who held to such a form of godliness without power, for the believer to turn away!

The Power of God is more available today than ever! It is also more needed; and has likely never been so neglected! The Power is the Fruit of the Holy Spirit! The overwhelming ability to Love the unlovely, to Serve the needy, and above all, the Power to walk publicly, above reproach, in the righteousness of Christ! If you’re born again, that’s YOU, beloved! “Sin indeed abounds, so we can be certain that Grace does much more abound!” Child of God do not despair the tsunami of darkness. You bear the unquenchable Light of Jesus Christ! Don’t doubt your value, you were born into this generation, “for such a time as this!”
