Never in the history of mankind has there been more ways to present or accost others with so many mental impressions in a day, as today. Flashing and rotating billboards, ads on our phones, computers, radios & TVs, and even advertising on our clothes! Many have lost sight of the invasion it is on our thought-life, and more significantly on our prayer-life!
It is a common thing for the believer's prayers to be reduced to a short, though sincere mantra! May we come to see how offensive this can be to our LORD!
As children, when being instructed by an adult, we were taught to look them in the eyes and receive instructions. A simple, effective lesson in paying attention! As young people, and as adults, we sometimes fail to recognize the importance of our conversations with God, and the importance of looking Him in the eye, and giving Him all our attention!
We are now spirit-people so we must learn to rise above the noise and distractions intentionally placed about us, and effectively communicate with our God! He longs for our precious, undivided attention, and He is most worthy of it! Give Him a specific, isolated time, just as you would your lover. Turn everything off and listen to hear His voice. He loves you.
He's talking all the time to you with phrases of affection and direction, you just have a very busy and sinister enemy who is always vying for your attention. Understandably, he doesn't want you to hear what God is saying. Turn him off and hear what God has to say! Remember, “Shut de door, keep out de devil!”

If you are not a listener of the word, you are likely not a doer either.
Great and timely message my friend. The more I dive into His word the greater I find the impact. Scriptures I’ve read time and again over the years land a little harder.
