REVELATION

"We are called and empowered to BE the Word!"

The word knowledge implies hands on. Sadly, far too much of what we consider knowledge is impotent book learning! James taught us to do what we learned, rather than absorb, and regurgitate it. The perfect example in Scripture was Saul of Tarsus, who knew the Word inside and out, yet was very dangerous to the Church, IN that knowledge. While Jesus, on the other hand was, or more accurately, is the Word! His very life exemplified the Truth of the eternal Word of God!

Amazingly, this is the calling that has been placed on every believer! We could never fulfill such a demand without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit imparted to us at rebirth! We are not called only to learn the Word, but we are called and empowered to BE that same Word!

The world around us is abounding in its own knowledge. To the benefit of the enemy, much of the world's knowledge is being exemplified in the doing of its professors; while the Church fills cathedrals and universities with curious hearers, ever learning, but never coming to an executable knowledge of what they're learning! We are the chosen ones to demonstrate the goodness of God - through our knowledge of God. We KNOW Him (or at least we're supposed to know Him)!

Around us, let us put to work every morsel of Truth that we consume! The reality is that the world doesn't believe what we know! May our lives, through our doings, exemplify to an unbelieving world that we know Him! It's not only our mandate, but also our wellspring of Joy that never runs dry.
