SEEKER
"We SEEK to FIND what we strongly desire."
One who is seeking. One who wants to find something. One who is willing to be inconvenienced, contradicted, and even humiliated to attain that for which they seek.
We need not "spiritualize" the term SEEKER. It is a literal, very descriptive, word that defines a diligent, and heart-hungry soul. We eat to nourish ourselves, we work to provide essentials, we rest to replenish our bodies, and we SEEK to FIND something we strongly desire.
God promised we would find Him, IF we seek for Him as for hidden Treasure. Let us begin the quest today, to watch and pray, believing the Word of God, that there is a great prize just on the other side of our carnal senses. God has provided everything needed for our utter fulfillment, here and there! And as we seek, let us believe that we WILL find. We will only seek sincerely if we truly believe there is a reward awaiting. That anticipation is heightened by fellowship with other seekers, and a keen focus on the promises of God’s Word.
Seekers, that’s what we are, with a firm promise from the One we’re looking for. “Seek and ye shall find!”

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
~Romans 10:17 KJV
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."
~Matthew 7:7 KJV
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”
~Hebrews 11:6 KJV
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive."
~Jeremiah 29:11-14 KJV

Sometimes God seeks us out like the Good Shepherd who leaves the 99 to find the one that strayed. A good poem to reflect on is Francis Thompson's The Hound of Heaven - a classic. but worth reading! Happy Easter!
Never stop seeking the LORD!
