SLEEP WELL
"A restoration of mind and body, to realign the Spirit within"
God has given us one of the most remarkable of gifts that often goes unnoticed, and very unappreciated. The gift of sleep! You may say, oh yes, I do appreciate it, but like many simple necessities, sleep is often avoided, dreaded, and even abused. Our Creator designed it especially as a natural way to get us to pull away, settle down, and re-group.
God promised us a New Day, every morning like a clean slate, a blackboard, completely erased! How often do we awaken with a groggy, but fresh mind, stretch our arms, and then as we recall the difficulties of yesterday, we crawl, intentionally, back into the defeat and darkness of yesterday's losses! How sad that must make Him.
God loves us! He designed our bodies, and our minds, to take a mandatory break, not just for physical maintenance, but so we could evaluate, with fresh eyes, the challenges before us! For those who will hear, it also reminds us that in Him, we are more than prepared for whatever we might face, and we are already more than conquerors to overcome!
LORD, help me to appreciate the beautiful and powerful Gift You've given me, the gift of sleep! Cause me to see it as the essential utility it is! May I never take the bait of the enemy to make Your sweet Gift a means of escape, but rather as a restoration of mind and body, to realign the Spirit You have placed inside me! Thank You LORD for renewing me...again! How fearfully and wonderfully I am made!
