THE RIVER CHEBAR
"Lord, Open our Hearts and Ears to Your Holy Voice!"
(Please remember to “LIKE & SHARE”)
In a vision, the heavens were opened to Ezekiel! Seldom do we have a more dramatic description of the Word of God being revealed to man. Such drama underscores the importance God placed on Ezekiel's clear understanding of the Word He was providing. Such terrifying experiences were had by Daniel, Jeremiah, John, and others who received critical, timeless messages to clearly provide direction to God's people.
In somewhat less dramatic methods, we see Abraham, Moses, David, Paul, Agabus, Peter, and others receive what could only be described as more casual, or conversational messages, though still clearly between God and man! Today, it seems the best we see experienced by the people of God are notions, inclinations, and leadings, many of which generally fall impotent or irrelevant over time.
Certainly, amidst today's unrestrained wickedness and diversified interpretation of the Scriptures, we need, possibly more than ever before, simple, intelligible communication with our God! Not for show or sensation, but for salvation!
LORD, again, in these most trying days raise up those who will willingly lower themselves! Grant us, or rather drive us to the humility required to stand in Your Holy Place and receive Grace and Mercy for your people in this time of so dire a need. Sanctify us out of the ways of this perishing world and transform us to hear, to unmistakably hear Your Voice. We need direction like never before.

Amen!! I love how John (the Baptist) said in John 3:30: "He must increase, but I must decrease." Help me LORD to decrease and lay this old flesh down everyday so that You can work and shine through me.
