THY KINGDOM
"Thy Kingdom come, but for now LORD, let Thy will be done…in me."
WHY...do I desire to see Thy Kingdom come? So I can get outta here? Or to see and experience that for which the New Creation within me yearns?
Escapism or final completion? Am I tired and discouraged at the downturn of my society, or as an ambassador of Christ, am I challenged to be the Light in that declining society?
It is very normal to desire to dwell in safety and comfort, but our new authority in Christ puts those amenities on-hold until the work assigned us here has been completed. "Oh LORD, let me not get ahead of myself, longing for those promised streets of gold, while lost souls perish in loneliness and filth on these cracked, littered streets below."
Set our hearts afire LORD, that the cold and forgotten here be warmed and gathered up from the clutches of the enemy. Time is short and the work is so great before us! Yes, Thy Kingdom come, but for now LORD, let Thy will be done…in me.

Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
~Hebrews 13:1-3 KJV
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
~Matthew 25:23 KJV
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
~2 Timothy 4:6-7 KJV
For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
~Philippians 1:23-24 KJV

In my 15 years of time with Jesus, i have come to realise that Christian walk is not only difficult but impossible to do if we are doing it with our strength. Its imperative to realise that we are a new creation and are supposed in walk in the spirit daily. We are to choose Him daily and walk in Him daily in order to spread His love around the world. Hallelujah!
Wonderful word brother. Makes me think of a sweet older woman in Bible study. She’s lost so many of her family just due to her own long life, and had a pretty hard life. She often wonders why she has not gone home yet like so many of her family and peers. I just try to tell her the Lord still has something for her to do here. Even just modeling stalwart faith by getting to church every Sunday morning.
