THY WILL BE DONE

"Remember, our flesh doesn’t want to give up!"

From the beginning, God wanted a relationship with man in which He could show His overwhelming Love to us. We see how God lavished Adam and Eve with dominion over everything He had created, even assigning Adam to name all the animals! After the fall, when wicked nations would intimidate, or attack the people of God, He took great pleasure in showing His might by delivering them out of impossible situations, seemingly just to “Wow them!” God Loves His people! And just like any good parent, He loves to show and exercise that love to the delight of His children.

Throughout history, Scripture reveals how time after time God offered good to His children, but because they were so preoccupied with their own ambitions, they ignored God. The devil, continually fueling this fire, convinces fallen man that everything he can “dream up” is just one step ahead of him. Always reaching, but never finding fulfillment, we overlook God’s ever-present love for us, and we go about our lives, day after day racing to an empty, eternal end, separated from our God!

We have been born again! A new Life, far superior to the old one, yet still occupying here in this fallen cosmos of which we once were a part. We are now spirits, like our Father is a Spirit! Still trying to navigate these corrupt, self-willed bodies and souls, we seek to rescue as many as possible for our Father before He brings us in! Like any good soldier, to be effective, and to achieve the Objective, we must learn to fully trust the instructions and commandments of our Lord! That was the “deal” when we signed up. Under the illuminating influence of the Holy Spirit, we recognized that, but after the initial experience, the flesh tends to “grow back!!” Jesus knew that, and it’s why He told us to deny ourselves daily!

Remember, the flesh doesn’t want to give up, and it demands its rights! The rights to guide you pleasurably and blissfully to a dead-end road, falling into an eternal hell.

Choose Life! Listen to the One you can trust and trust Him! The Spirit within you knows it’s the right thing to do.
