UNWORTHY

"How Can It Be?"

In all reality, in own my heart, I ponder the possibilities of the eternal afterlife. When I consider all that I know about me, it’s hard to imagine myself being admitted into a sinless, perfect environment, ruled by an Entity that knows every dark, deep secret of the whole of my life here on earth.

If all my "bad" were taken away, would even the "good" that remains matter? Could it even be detected before such an unstained holiness, as is found in the glory of the Ancient of Days?

I am defiled, undone, and on my best day, guilty as defined by Perfection. Only Perfection could ever pay my debt.

Holy, precious Jesus, was it for me You bled and died? Covered in Your sacrificial blood, I am clean before You and Your Father. Take me. Help me to crucify my old ways, so that I may live with you! May I become, "of You!"

I never want to sin again. I know one day that I will give an account of my life, but I don’t know when. I almost slipped into hell; keep me far from the edge, LORD. Let me stay near You, always. I desire my life to be hidden in Yours.
